DATA Projector maintenance and service

Without regular servicing, you could seriously be reducing the lifespan & reliability of your projector....

Incomplete maintenance can contribute to excess dust build-up in your projector which can have multiple effects, such as:

• Shortened lamp life

• Reduced image quality

• Total projector lifespan reduction

• Reduced picture brightness

For assistance or onsite service call D.I.B Australia today (03) 9457 4800

Maximise the lifespan of your investment through regular maintenance!

Our Maintenance programs help to extend the life and reliability of your LCD/DLP projectors operation, lowering your total cost of ownership.

From our Melbourne facility we provide full projector service and repair; this involves more than just cleaning the air filter. Most LCD/DLP projectors rely on very powerful lamps, which not only cost money to replace, but generate very large amounts of heat as well.

It is this heating effect that is compensated by cooling fans which draw outside air through various parts of your projector. As a result filters are installed to reduce the amount of dust which enters the projector.

These filters reduce the effect of dust built up in the lamp box, on the lamp and even on the electronics and LCD projector panels themselves (although some modern LCD projectors have fully sealed optical engines and so are more protected)

Like most air filters however, some dust still gets through and over a period of time this builds up. The dust lines the lamp box, the electronic circuit boards and often the LCD panels as well.

This dust lining has multiple effects;

1. It has a blanket effect causing projector components to heat more than they should, reducing the lifespan of the equipment,

2. It reduces light output if coated on the lamp or lamp casing, therefore affecting projector picture brightness,

3. A projector lamp coated in dust heats more and expires earlier therefore reducing the number of hours per lamp replacement and

4. It can coat the LCD projector panels, thereby reducing your image quality (for example you may have coloured spots on your image that just won’t go away).

All of these problems can be reduced or eliminated through regular professional servicing of your LCD/DLP projector.

Whether you take care of your projector maintenance yourself or entrust us with the job, we recommend you schedule your maintenance today!
