Projector Throw Distances

Short Throw Projectors have a more acute projection angle meaning they can be mounted closer to an Interactive Whiteboard or projection screen.  This results in less shadow on the boards' surface and less glare from the projectors lamp in the presenters' eyes.

Ultra Short Throw

The latest technology!  As the projector is above the board and close to the wall, the image is projected at an acute down angle. This minimises shadows cast on the boards' surface and minimises glare from the projectors lamp in the presenters' eyes. This makes them ideal to use with interactive whiteboards.

Short Throw

Short Throw Projectors also reduce shadow on the boards' surface and glare from a projectors lamp in the presenters' eyes. Although not projecting at quite an acute angle as Ultra Short Throw Projectors they do not do it to the same extent.  Short throw projectors are great for use with interactive whiteboards.

Standard Throw

Standard Throw Projectors are mounted further back from a projection screen. The image is not projected on an acute angle and anything coming between the projector and the projection surface will be cast as a shadow on the projection surface.  This means that they are not very effective for using with interactive whiteboards as they are also more likely to result in shadows on the boards' surface and glare in the presenters' eyes.
